Activities
We aim to make a real difference to people with learning disabilities by providing effective and flexible support to help them to improve their lives. Respond work with children, young people and adults with learning disabilities who have experienced abuse or trauma, as well as those who have abused others through psychotherapy, advocacy, campaigning and other support.
Objects: 2.1 The Charity's Objects are, for the public benefit, to: 2.1.1 advance training, education, and research; and 2.1.2 promote, protect and improve physical and mental health (including, without limitation, through the reduction of health inequalities and promotion of trauma informed relational working); to benefit people with disabilities (including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, dementia and mental health difficulties); in particular but without limitation through the relief of need for individuals with learning disabilities or neurodiversity who have experienced abuse or trauma and/or have abused others.2.2 Nothing in these Articles shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with any statutory provision regarding the meaning of the word "charitable" or the words "charitable purposes" in force in any part of the United Kingdom.
