THE PUBLIC PURPOSE SHARE OF THE DARTMOUTH TRUST

THE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE TRUSTEE FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2023

One sixth of the yearly income of the Dartmouth Trust is administered and managed, as a separate charity under the above title, and Dartmouth Town Council is Trustee of that charity.

The monies applied by the Town Council are for the general benefit of the inhabitants of Dartmouth as the Town Council thinks fit, and is therefore administered in accordance with the terms set out in clause 28(3) of the scheme and with the requirements of charity law.

The Council has incurred expenditure this year to the value of £146,016.19 (2022 – 85,864.20)

To this end therefore, the sum of £250,404.98 (2022 - £276,449.33) has not been spent and is held in abeyance.
