Para 1.20 Scouting in Keswick has continued to
flourish this year, (22/23). We have had
such a growth in our young people
numbers that we have even divided our
Scouts into two troops, meeting every other
week to enable more people to benefit from
the varied program that Scouting offers.
We have been able to provide more
outdoor opportunities, including kayaking
and camping and following a grant have
even planted young sapling trees to
encourage biodiversity. We have had an
active fundraising campaign withing our
local community, by participating in
Christmas markets and other events. In
keeping with the Scout objectives we
supported events such as Remembrance
Day services on November 11thand HM the
Queens Remembrance service in
conjunction with local community
organisations within and around our local
area.
