The financial ststements hav¢ been prepared in aecordance with the accounting policies 5¢t out in t]ote I to the accounts and comply with the Charity's trnst d¢¢d, the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting and Reporting by Charities-. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to ¢harities preparing their a¢¢ounts in accordance with the Finan¢ial Reporting Standard applicable Èn th¢ UK and Republic of Ireland effective 15¢ January 2019. The Foundation admiDislers two Charities. They operate schemes set out in the document N54 (S), Sealed on 3 March 1981. Th¢ number of the sch¢m¢ is 627,703 vr. There is one employee employed as a Clerk to the Charity, Mrs E Warren who ¢urrently receives an annual stipend of £3.500 per annum. The Trustees meet at l¢a5t every quarter and at such other times that their business requires it. They ¢on5ideT individual applications for grants and ensure that th¢ requirernents of the Charity Commission as set out in the s¢heme ar¢ fully tnet. They inspect the properties and land own¢d by the T￿st and aim to maintain them in good order. New Trustees undergo an induction to ensure Èhey have a good background knowledge of the charity and of th¢ day to day pro¢¢dur¢ and thai th¢ir responsibilities are clearly understood. Publie Benefit The tTUStees confirnl that the Charity's activitie5 are widespread in the community and confirm they have ¢omplied with their duties under section 4 of the 2006 Charity Act with regard to public benefit. RevÉew of rev ts and Performanee During the past year the Trustees have made grants to the Six %hools in the area of benefit for the Instruction of their pupils in music toialling £19,521.67 (The grant to Friesland School totalled £10,449.60, the grant to Firfield Schtsol totalled £3,444.00, the grant to Cloudside Academy totalled £2,226.00 and the other three 8rant5 w¢r¢ less than £2,000 each). They have made four grants to Sunday Schools in the area of benefit totalling £3.050.88 and they have made ¢kghty-eight indiyidual grants to young people under the age of 25 totslling £52,800.00. This year the grant to individuals was £600 ¢a¢h grant application. They maintain & programme of repairs on the houses th¢y own and through their proEKty agents, Northwood Nottingharn. Their land agents Mill¢r & Miller (Sheffield) have made signifi¢ant progress with updating and issuing new agricultural tenanci¢s to both existing tenants and new ones due io the passing of previous tenants. They have also employed the services of a firm of solicitors, Freeths LLP ¢0 update the charity scheme and this is slill awork in progress with the Charity Commi55ion now holding the infonnation to update the schwne. The obje¢tives of the investment policy ar¢ to ensllre that assets are suitably invest¢d io sustain good re￿rn& in the current market situaiion. Total gross stipend amounted to £3.500 (2024.. £3.000). Mileage and expenses r¢imbuTsed during the year to the Clerk totslled £325 (2024.. £nil). There are no employe¢5 eaming more than £60,000. Trn$te¢ Expenses And Related P8Ttie5 Neither Trustee$ nor aT)y person connected with them has received or is due to rer¢iY¢ any expense5 or remuneratioll for the year either directly or indirectly from the ChkTiW5 funds. There are no other relat¢d party disclosures. Freehold Interest In IARd & Buildings The Freehold LaTrd and Buildings shown at the 31 March 1991 valuation of £220,250 cot)stKtute &%5ets held by the charity to generate rental income. No valu¢ has ever been placed on land and buildings known as the English School and building known a5 Latin School 18 their use is restricted to educational purposes and a minimal rental income is Teceived. In aDy event all these assets are held as pemianently endowed funds. It is ihe opinion of the Trustees that the current value 18 in excess of that figure. The Trustees do not Consider the expense of revaluing the Freehold Land and Building5 to be justified given the restrictions on rhe use, and have therefore used th¢ transitional provision of FRS102 to deem the 31 March 1991 value as Cost.
