We have polices on Risk assessment, vulnerable adults and children, health and safety and lone working, new truslees and volunteers induction We hav8 an insurance policy which protects the trustees and volunteers from personnel claims. We hold monthly minLtled meetings for trustees, to keep everyone up to date. Any Interested partieslvolunleers are welcome to attènd our meetings. The minutes are availabla for anyone to read on r8quest, they are displayed on the noliceboard for 1 month then stored. Objectlves and aclivltles To support education of the young people who are residents of the ancient parish of Thornton in Craven. To keep the Old Grammar School Building in good sound order and available for the people of the Parish to use - subject lo acceptance by the trustees. By giving grants to schools, youth groups and individuals. Information on how to apply is available via the web sité or by conlading the trustees directly. To maintain the building by having a schedule of work to be undertaken each year to ensure that all is in good order and fil for purpose. All new and existing Trustees are informed of their role and to read the information on the Charity Commission web site and to follow the guidelines of the Constitution. We have modernised our narne from 'The Robert Windle's Foundation" to "Robert Windle Foundation" this makes il clear8r and easier for use online. Grants are requested via the website. Once received they are discussed at the monthly trustees meeting. The requests have lo meet the guidelines sel out in the conslitution and on the web sile. If all are happy lo give the grant this accepted, and the monies sent via BACS transfer by the treasurer. On receipt of the grant. we ask that the recipients send either a letter of drawing or photographs of the activity that the grant has supported. We use local tradesmen to carry out any work lo the building or grounds. We also have 3 volunteers who look after the grounds for us, and a group of people who will help at our events, running the cafe and cake baking. Other local groups use the facilities for meetings etc. This year the Foundation has paid for 6 volunteers who work in the kitchen to gain an online stage 2 food hygiene COLJrse. Currently 3 have successfully completed the course.

Annual Report (continued) Year ended 31 March 2024 Achievements and performance Throughout the year a programme of maintenance and upgrading of the building ha5 been arried out to modernise the premises and improve access. The café and shop continuè to be successful. wilh many new customers arriving. We are continuing with the Tuesday and Friday opening days. In addition, on Thursdays lunch times we host the 'lnspire' charity to run our café and shop. This has been very successful, their sessions are open lo both their clients and the general public and are well allended. Their clients also help with general gardening. shop, café and maintenance work around the building, they arè a very welcome boost lo our activities. A local not for profil sewing group has joined us. They hold weekly sessions open to anyone to learn how lo sew on Tuesday momings. We are continuing lo give out grants, we aim to give out 4 grants each month still sel at £200.00 each applicatior), sometimes more if we feel that their need is something the Iruslees want lo give more support to. The grants are given to local schools and youth groups eg football and rugby teams, Scouts and Guides and other local groups that have members under 24 years of age eg the swimming club, brass band and bowling club to encourage young people to join or to train older members to support young people. Again, in December 2023 we gave each of the 10 local schools and 10 local groups who support sport or education a one off grant of £500 each. The ongoing silualion of the roof répairs continues. The pr8sent roof should lasl for another 8 10 years a local builder is checking the roof every year and carrying out any repairs, so far he slates that the roof is sound. We may also apply for lottery funding to help with the cost of repairs to the roof in th8 next financial year, W8 continue to rely on volunteers lo keep the garden and outdoor space tidy. The work on the new palio was halted (Jue lo problems with underground pipe this has been resolved and will be completed in 2024. We have recruited 2 new trustees to brlng us back to 8 Irusle8S. Flnanclal Revlew We are working towards having Ihe necessary monies for the roof repair held in the bank accounl and to cover the cost of any emergency repairs or to cover the ulility bills elc should we lose our income stream and are unable lo fund the upkeep of the building. Once we have completed the updates to the building then long term plans will be made regarding investments. We are financially viable and hope in 2024 to pul some extra funds into a reserve. We currently hold £6,649 as an emergency reserve supporting our Gurrenl funds of £16,435. We raise money through selling donated household ilems and handicraft items through our shop and online, some more valuable items are sold on market place or Ebay The café, craft group and other small social events are also profitable. This year we have been very successful both in fund raising and welcoming local people into our building. The building is

Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the aGGounls in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I'lhe Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in Garrying out my examination, I hav6 followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5)Ib) of the Act.
