Environmental Land Managemeni Soluiions Lid {ELMS). to explore way5 to d¢v¢lop an ecologicallj sensitive approach ro flood management on the low¢r rea¢h¢s of Foundaiion land bounded by the Hanna(Te Brook. ELMS are CUTrently liaising with the ne¢essJry regulatory auihoriiies io ihis end. Swimmlng P(Ktrl A local charirable in)st was esiablished io run the Pool and take over the rnanagement from Derbyshire Dales Disrrict Council. The Foundation is Landlord and the Trusi was assigned ihe lease by the Council from April 2012. The lease runs until 2079. There were no specific a¢iions for the Foundation tn relaiiort io the swirnming pool in the current year. The Cornrnunity Sport and L4isure Centre The Wirksworth Leisure Cenire was opened in January 2000 al a cost of £1.3 million. a part of which was contributed from th¢ Foundation. The Foundation has made subsequeni contributions towards the improvement and upk¢¢p of the facility. The Leisure Centre ¢OTttinues to be of greai benefit and popvlarity for ihe School and the wider community with rhe old School Gyrn being part of ihe faciliiies offered. The Foundation granied a long lease to DDDC in 1999 until 2079. The rent from DDDC is subject io review ai 5 yearly intervals (the next review being now due in ?028) in line with the reiail price index. The Foundation received £17,737 from DDDC as rent in the ¢urrent year. In 2016, DDDC decided to contract oui their Leisure Services io a managing ageni by Summer ?018. The current management 51ruciure. under Freedom Leisure Ltd came into effe¢t on Isl August 2018. Unadopied section of Canterbury Terrace The Foundation is the re&Tristered owner of ihe roadway at the souiheasi end of Canierbury Terrnce in Wirksworth. The Trustees realise that. whilst ihe ownership of this land has no direct beneficial purpose to ihe Charity. th¢y rnusl seek co maintain the roadway io an acceptable standard. These additional acriviiies are managed through Ihe School. AGSF holds the Young Futures Fund and a report on activity. and progress is brought to each Irusiees meeting.
