Rotherham Scout Council Report of The Chair of Trustees Firstly, I would like to fomally welcome Andy Moore in his retum to Rotherham District as our Distrlct Lead Volunteer. Under his leadership and guidance. l am sure that our scouting will prosper and we can see a retum to Rotherham truly being a functioning District once again. Thls past year has presented a number of challenges for the Trustees whlch through their hard work and dedication have been addressed. In particular I would Ilke to hlghllght the sterfing work undertaken by our Treasurer David Bool. His workload has been Vast increased by the closure of the group at Thurcroft and the resutting financial complicatlons. David has spent many hours ensurfng that all the District's finandal matters are suitsbly in hand and on behalf of the Dlstrict I tharlk him for hls hard work and dedicatlon. It would be most remiss if I didn't thank our District Secretary for his admlnistrative prowess over the year. It is a tlme consuming and often frustrating Job. Ash Cox has worked with great fortrtuda and diligence. The role of district secretary is discontinued under the new format, bul Ash will be continuing a8 a Trustee for which we should all be most grateful, I would like to thank Llsa Langton for her efforts, In partScular her resculng and Successfully running the first Rolherham St Georges Activity Day and Promise renewal. Her timely IntenntIon prevented the district incurring a slgnlficant financial loss. She 18 Stepping down as a Trustee to focus on events and I'm sure our new District Lead Volunteer wtll extenslvely employ her talents.
