REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES For the year ended 5 April 2025
ended 31[st] March 2025. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
Structure, Governance and Management
The Charity was registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 1[st] November 1965 (Charity number 524301).

The Trustees shown below have served during the period from 1[st] April 2024 to the date of this report.

Recruitment and Appointment of New Trustees
New Trustees will only be appointed upon acceptance of a vacant seat on the Community Council by the Chair. No outside party can appoint Trustees.
Aims and Objectives
Organisational Structure
The Clerk to Bryncrug Community Council is employed by the Charity to manage the day-to-day administration of the Charity. The Trustees meet monthly following the Community Council meeting.
Risk Management
The Trustees are responsible for identifying and reviewing the risks to which the Charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable safeguards against fraud and error.

Financial Review
The Charity’s principal source of funds are from Pay & Display, Gifting Boxes, Rental income and Interest earned. The Charity is not involved in fund raising. Income for the period 1[st] April 2024 – 31[st] March 2025 was £39,800. Expenditure for the same period was £39,664. No grants were applied for during this period.
The cash position at the end of the year was £81,932.
Reserves Policy
The Trustees policy on the funding of reserves is based upon the Charity Commission document CC19 and therefore recognises the need to hold reserves to deal with adverse changes in the level of income and expenditure in future years.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 / 03 / 2025 .
- Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
-
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
