Para 1.17 | (1) The object of the Charity shall be the provision and maintenance of playing fields, reception grounds and a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Burniston, Cloughton and the neighbourhood thereof (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) without distinction of political, religious, or other opinions, including the use for meetings, lectures and lasses, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (2) The land and building specified in the said schedule shall be held upon trust for the purposes of playing fields, recreation grounds and a village hall as aforesaid. |

Para 1.20 | The work of the charity has resulted in a well- used community hall, hired, and used by all groups in our community for a wide range of events. We have a flourishing youth club for children aged 7 – 16. Open to children from the local and neighbouring villages. Through working with our volunteers, we are raising funds to improve the facilities in the playing fields, again for all ages and all groups in our community. Renovation of tennis courts and a multi-use games area and a skatepark. We have opened a Nature Trail and there are many and varied fund-raising events. |

Para 1.41 | We are currently fundraising for the 3 phases Active Burniston & Cloughton Project to improve the facilities in the Playing Fields. Phase 1 - funds raised and works almost complete. Phase 2 –funding being raised and events ongoing Phase 3 – fundraising hasn’t started actively. We have also raised 100% of funds required for the operation of the youth club. |
