In undertaking the actiVFtses during the yèar, the Trustees have had regard to the gutyjance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefrt. Activittes have included raising fiJnds and seeking grants in order to maintain and improve the Village Hall as a venue for organisations within the localty and provKling this resou at a low t))st so that all inhabitants can benefft. In nomal times the Hall hosts adivities for people of all ages, including.. art classes. dance., drama. exercise,. music., IM. meditation and other ¢ommunty and social gatherin98. It is also a popular venue for private parties, charty fundraising events, Meetings and other events, 811 of which have senied to pla rt at the centre of village Itfe. These activities were seriously curtailed during Covid restrictions, but had retumed to nomial levels in 2022r23. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the nmin achievements of the charity during the year The main achievements of the yearvRre the retum to a full programme of events at the Village Hall following the lth'ng of Covid restrictions and the continuatj'on of our programme of improvements to the fabriG of the Hall. The latter induded the refvrbishment of the main kitchen with the replaoment of worktops and the installats'on of a freezer, and the commissionirKJ of a building survey to 1p us to Priofitise the projects in our latest 5-Year plan for improvements.
