2. Apologies

3. Reflection
JAB provided reflection on the year. The overview recognised:

Good progress made on ensuring the Scout Hall is safe and a good environment for Scouting. The roof repair has made the building water-tight; it’s warm, clean, and allowing for a great scouting experience.

JAB thanked the Group Scout Leaders (GSLs) and Executive Committee for their fantastic efforts and contribution. Whilst the Executive Committee works in the background, leaders are providing excellent sessions for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts alike.

Looking ahead, the plan is to update to an improved building fit for 21st Century Scouting, improving both elements of design and functionality.
4. Reaffirm adoption by 1st Ruddington Scout Group of Scout Association’s Group Constitution set out in Policies, Organisation and Rules 3.24 and any future amendments thereof

CD thanked the GSL’s for support given in the timely collection of subs and to leaders for their adoption of the budget process.

7. Appointments to the Group Executive Committee (Trustees of the Group):
- 7.1 Approval of GSL nomination for Chairperson
GSL nomination Jennifer Boniface – agreed unanimously.
- 7.2 Appointment of Group Treasurer
Clare Deeming self-nominated – agreed unanimously. JAB thanked CD for their hard work and contribution over the past 12 months.
- 7.3 Appointment of Group Secretary
Denise Rishmawy self-nominated – agreed unanimously.
- 7.4 Election of up to 4 members of the Group Executive Committee
Ian Dickinson, existing Executive Committee member self-nominated.
Amy Thackeray, existing Executive Committee member self-nominated.
Beth Rushton, existing Executive Committee member self-nominated.
Sarah Barker (parent) self-nominated.
All nominations agreed unanimously.

Post meeting note: Sarah decided to step down from the Executive Committee.
- 7.6 Notification of Section Leaders wishing to exercise their ex-officio right to membership of the Group Executive Committee and therefore to become a Trustee:
Elissa Hawksworth (Beaver Section Leader) wished to continue on the Executive Committee.
Andrew Dyson (Cub Section Leader) wished to continue with the Executive Committee.

8. Appointment of a Scrutineer
Neil Copeland proposed as scrutineer – reviewed 1[st] Ruddington accounts last year. Will perform this service for free.

9. Address from Rushcliffe District Scout Council
Tim Kirby, Rushcliffe District Chair was delighted with all the exciting Scouting activities delivered at 1[st] Ruddington, after the return to face-to-face Scouting . Being the largest group in the district, he acknowledged the contribution and hard work of everyone involved, and thanked JAB for her outstanding leadership.
Tim acknowledged the awards given from the District Commissioner to JAB and EH for their outstanding efforts.
Moving forward, Tim explained the proposed changes to Scouting Leadership and a vision for district leadership to be more teams based, encouraging everyone to embrace the change
DC mentioned a new award for Major Oak and JAB acknowledged the Queen’s Award for volunteering to Nottinghamshire Scouts as part of the birthday honors list.
