ALhievements and Performance SORP reference Para 1.20 Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Langar cum Barnstone Parish Council, Corporate Sole Trustee of Langar cum Barnstone Village Hall, have just project- managed,along with the builder and architect, a new village hall. This is for use of all the community. A rural community where there are very few facilities and no shops, cafes, or a library. A much-needed community facility available to all. The rest of the build was funded by a Public Works Loan that was taken out by the Parish Council. However, the precept did not increase due to building up the reserves over several years. The object was to raise money for the new build. This was achieved by a Public Works Loan, grants and fundraising within the community. Para 1.22 They are no reserves held in the Trustee Bank Account. However, there is money held in the PC bank account from the PWL, as the final builder's and architect's payment is still to be made. There are also some final internal items that need to be purchased. In the Trustee bank account, there are none at present but the reserves will build up as the fees come in. Reserves are not held as the hall has just opened, but as more users use the hall, the bank account will increase, and some funds will be set aside for reserves.
