Engineering Society Caravan Park ( 10 pitches)
It owns and maintains a Village Hall which has areas that can be hired at reasonable prices for meetings, parties and entertainment for audiences for up to a hundred people.
The charities income is from:
Donations Car Boot sales Hire of the Village Hall Caravan charges
Like all organisations recent years have been very difficult. For the last decade, at least, our main income has been receipts from Car Boot sales. During 2020 and 2021 there were no car boot sales. Fortunately government compensation grants managed to keep our income to a reasonable level. On 21[st] February our bank balance was £38,303.59 with only utilities charges outstanding. So financially we look secure although the fabric of the Hall, being what it is, is always a hidden spectre. Developments and improvements are needed. How is the problem. The committee is mostly comprised of Trustees who are well past their sell by date. New and younger volunteers are required to develop the complex into something the Village can be really proud of.
This will be my last report. I'd like to thank all those who make and have made the Village Hall and Playing Field the envy of many. It is worthwhile noting that what we have was not achieved by large grants but was grafted for by many.
