The Distrirt Team has worked well over the year organising events and supportsng groups. Their individual section reports follow later in this document Two of our Long-serving and well-known members are to be con9ratulated on receiwn9 Nknonal Awards in the King'5 8irthday Honours. Our joint Prosident. Peter Nort. received the MBE and Norman Brown. of 3rd Hindley Group was awarded the British Empire MedaL Adult members will be aware of a number of changes In the pipeline which concern how we run our Jffairs. We are grateful for the assistance we received from the Mayor, Chief superintendent Wigham of Greater Manchester Police and the Councsl Events Team In organising the road closures and thp nccessary safety issup£.
