Our cleaners have done a sterling job yet again this year. Major works consisted of sound boards being fitted to walls and ceiling in main hall. These will absorb some of the noise and echo generated. A new pump fan has been fitted in the cellar under the stage, and new extraction units in the main hall. A new Emmersion heater has been installed in the main kitchen.
Projects for the Future
Another 4 sound boards to be fitted. Possible under counter boiler for back room. Main Hall to be decorated. Stage curtains replaced. Ladies toilets re-furbishment. Painting of yellow edge to stage. Plastic edgings to cover scuff marks on skirting boards in the main hall. Motion sensor fitting to the outside lights.

Letting Secretary's Report

Eastern European group are still holding their meetings once a month. The Vikings are still with us. LIHS also doing well. History Group meet once a Month. The Collectors Club has been increasing its attendances, and they hire the back room once a month. We have been approached by Blaby District Council regarding setting up Health & Wellbeing classes in line with “Care in the Community”. This is still on hold for now.
Health & Safety Report
Mr S Inglesant & Mr J Stamp reported on Health & Safety matters.
No Major incidents reported. Risk Assessment will be re-done. John Stamp said the domestic cooker we have in the kitchen is getting old, so it was decided to remove it and replace it with a cupboard. John will arrange this. Dave Hirst asked if a users list could be put on display showing days and times of occupation of the hall. Also a map showing nearest De-Defibrillators. Jacky Stamp said she will arrange this. It was agreed that a yellow edge will be painted on the edge of the stage for safety. PAT testing needs to be done on new fires in back room. Auditor's Report
I have audited the accounts set out in pages 1 - 3.
In my opinion the accounts give a true and fair view of the state of affairs at 31st December 2024 and of the excess of income over expenditure for the year ended on that date.
