The financAal statements have been prepared under the historical cost convèntlon. General funds represent the funds of the PCC that are not subject lo any ￿$1￿CtionS regardlng their use and are available for application on the general purposes of the PCC. These include fund5 designated for a particular purpose by the PCC. The accounts include transactions. assets and liabililies for which the PCC can be held respons- ible. They do not include the accounts of church groups Ihal owe an affiliation lo another body nor those that are informal gatherings of church members. Income Collections are recognised when made. Amounts receivable under covenant a￿ recognised only when honoured by the covenanlor. Income lax recoverable on covenanted donations is recognised when claimable. Funds raised by the fair5. bingo and other fvndraising events are accounted for gross. Parochial fees due for weddings. funerals elc are accounted for on an event by event basis. Moveable Church fumishings held by the Priest in charge and churchwardens on special trust for the PCC which require a faculty for disposal are accounled for as inalienable propety unless consecrated. Other fixtures and fillin Equipment used within the ehufch premises is depreciated on a slraighl line basis over 5 years.
