Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,

charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 We have continued to build on the success
of the group following completion of our
new Hall in 2022.
Scouting activities in terms of section
meetings continued, combining a mixture of
games and activities towards scouting
awards as described on the scouting
website scouts.org.uk. For the younger
section these included craft work,
communication skills, internet safety, team
work and road safety.
Outdoor boating activities also continued
and members were able to sail and kayak
throughout the summer months.
Fund-raising activities carried on, including
two Quiz Nights held in the Hall – the first
for three years since the COVID-enforced
hiatus – and another successful Burns
Night supper, which was held in the local
Community Centre . In addition we staged

two events sponsored by Cheshire Rural Touring Arts, which is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and presents a diverse mix of professional theatre, music, dance, and family shows to bring novel social experiences to Weaverham. All this is representative of a thriving asset to the local community.
