The operation of activities at the War Memorial Hall, 4 Chauntry Road, Alford Lincolnshire LN13 9HQ for those who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped, infirm, or in need of financial assistance and outreach to such persons within the community including:Holding of events for members and preparing afternoon teas to be sent out to those unable to attend the Hall

Hiring space at nominal cost to the Alford Day Centre for weekly sessions for the elderly and infirm and to the Alford Dementia Group

Hiring space to the NHS for clinics which otherwise would not be available in Alford Purchasing items of equipment for use by the nurses attending the clinics held at the Hall to widen the range of services they can provide to local patients

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

During the period covered by this report it has not been possible due to lockdown restrictions and concerns over safety for the elderly and vulnerable for groups of such people to meet as usual at the Hall. However extensive outreach has been offered during the period of restrictions by the trustees and when permitted the delivery of afternoon teas has continued. Due to pressures on local NHS facilities during the pandemic hirings for clinics have considerably increased. In addition Local Government grants have been received which has enabled the trustees to carry out extensive repairs and redecoration of the building to enable more extensive use of the Hall following the end of the emergency restrictions.
