WOODHAM VILLAGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Registered Charity No: 518029 Established 1986
Trustees Report.
This year was again exceptional circumstances for all.
However, with our usual prudent management and substantial support from both Government and Durham County Council we are in a healthy position Covid Recovery Grants over the last two years of £35,000 and a County Council Grant towards new heating and ventilation of £19,000 were greatly welcomed.
We will continue our mission to keep our facilities open for the purpose of enabling a wide range of community activities for all our residents including disadvantaged groups.
Our tradition of working in the wider community with other partner organisations will continue.
Award- winning projects such as our “computers for the terrified “continues including outreach work.
We are leading the very successful campaign to install 24-hour public access life saving Defibrillators and provide free CPR training with 20 units now installed.
These projects reinforce the Charity Commission request that Local charities show wider community commitment to their work.
