THE SMILERS CLUB TRUSTEE'S REPORT FOR THF. YEAR ENDED 31 March 2025 The Trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 st March 2025. The financial statements are prepared on a receipt and payment basis in accordance with the Statement of R¢Lommcnded Practice. 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities 2011, Constitution, Objects and Organisation The Charity is governed by a constitution adopted 8 August 1986. The constitution Vi'as updated in May 2016 to reflect chanLTing economic and regulatory requirements. The object of the charitylassociation is to provide leisure activities for children and adults with learning disabilities with the object of improving conditions of life for the said children and adults. The charity/a8sociation 18 non-political and membership is open to all who arc interested in furthering Ihc objects of the charitylassociation. No alterations of the rules may be made except at the Annual General Meeting nr a %pecial Meeting called for this purpose. No alterations or amendments will be made to the objects cause or dissolutions clause which Case the Association to be a charity at law. If the Association should be dissolved at any time the committee will have ihe power lo dispose of any assets, provided that. in th¢ event of ihe Association bcing iv()und up aiiy as.%eiS remaining up dissolutions, atter the payment of proper debts and liabilities will be transferred to a charitable institution or instituions having similar objectives to those of The Sinilers Club. Trustees and Organisation Trusteeslofficers are appointed annually at the Annual General Mecting Meetings will be held regularly. Decisions will be carried out by a simple majority. Reserves These will be used to enhance the club activities with the objecl of improving member's lives. Risk Management The trustees have examined the major strategic, business and opcrational risks, which may ari8e and confirm that systems have been established that mitigate these risks. THF, SMILERS CLUB tNDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 March 2025 We report on the accounts of The Smilers Club for the year ended 31 st March 2025 as set out on pages 6t0 11. Responsibilities of the Trustees and Accountant The Charity trustee8 are repsonsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under Section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and that an independcnt examination is needed. It is our responsibility to: examine thc accounts under Section 145 of the Charities Act. to folloTh' the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 145(5)(b) of ihe Charities Act, and to state whether particular matters have come to our attention. Basis of Accountants Report Our examination was carried out in accordance with general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includcs a review of the accounling rccords kepi by the charity and a comparison of the acccounts represented in those rccords. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the financial statements and seeking explanations from you as truslees concerning such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that should be required in an audil and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the financial statements present a true and fair vicw and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Independent Accountants Statement In connection with our examination. no matter has come to my attention l) which gives me reasonabl¢ cause to believe that. in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with Scction 130 of the Charities Acl and to prepare financial statements which accord with accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or 2) to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. 161051102S Handmill Taxation Ltd Date Page 5
