Activities

To manage the Community Centre building for the community. Fund raise for activities in the community and building running costs. Publish a monthly newsletter. Arrange and support learning activities for the community particularly the Youth. The East Rural Youth & Community Association operates in the only community centre in the East Rural Ward of Blackburn with Darwen.

Objects: 1.To Help Young People Especially But Not Exclusively Through Leisure Time Activities So To Develop Their Physical, Mental And Spiritual Capacities That They May Grow To Full Maturity As Individuals And Members Of Society. 2.To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of East Rural Without Distinction Of Sex, Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating With The Local Authority, Voluntary Organisations And Inhabitants In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interest Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants.
