The Minutes of the previous AGM of Bicker Village Hall Management Committee for
May2023 were agreed as an accurate record.
Presentation
and Adoption of
the accounts.
The treasurer, Steve Bamford, presented a copy of the Annual Financial Statement
for the year ending 31stMarch 2024.
Steve provided a paper copy for everyone’s records.
Claire will email copies of the accounts to the Charity Commission and complete the
annual return of accounts.
Everyone thanked Stevefor his extremelyhard work over the lastyear.
5. Secretary
report.
Claire Fovargue
The following tasks have been completed over the last year:

Completing two applications for funding

Liaising with the insurance company

Completing the annual return of accounts and yearly declaration for the
Charity Commission.

Preparing the minutes and agendas for each meeting

Receiving correspondence on matters relating to the Village Hall

Updating policies and keeping the committee informed of any changes

Completing various surveys for the charity commission and other organisations

Liaising with Boston Borough Council on issues relating to the hall

Updating policies and keeping the committee informed of any changes

Completing the waste declaration

Applying for rate reductions

Receiving and printing emails to share at meetings
Finally, I would like to thank everyone all committee members who support me in my
role.

The Chairman’s Report on behalf of Kathryn Kelly
It has been great to see that the hall being used and providing activities for our
community; this is one of the most important functions of the hall.
The Chairman’s report also gave a number of thanks, this included:

The community for their support

Steve Bamford and preparing the accounts. His role is a huge and is making
such a big difference to the success of the hall

Sheila for her role as Vice Chair and stepping us as Chair

Sheila for representing the bowls club and supporting the hall

Rita for representing the Methodist Church and supporting the hall

Sonia for representing the WI and in her hard work in her role as Booking
Secretary

Georgie, for organisingthe Bicker Tea Partyand supportingthe hall

• Elizabeth for representing the church and supporting the hall • The representatives from the clubs and societies and the service that the clubs and societies provide for our community. • Amy Goodacre- for being the Child Protection/ Vulnerable Person’s nominated person and organising the children’s Christmas party • Claire Fovargue for her role as Secretary The committee continue to and follow the aims of constitution by looking after, promoting the hall and encouraging it to be used by the community it serves. The Chairman’s report thanked everyone for their continued support and hard work over the past year. It identified that the hall continues to be an asset to Bicker and is a success within the community. 7.
