ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
HELD ON MONDAY 20[th] JUNE 2022 7:00pm (F2F)
1. Attendance
Present: David Hicks (Chair) Jo Green (Sec), Wendy Bungay (GSL/Cubs), Simon Temple (District Commissioner), Rachel Roberts (Scouts), Claire Kerrigan (Subs Secretary), Michael Harrison (District Rep), Dawn Chater (Beavers), Kate Brearley (Cubs), Chris Stevens (10k rep), Stewart Windle, Matt Atkinson, Sarah Nolan, Kay Atkinson,

Before the meeting commenced, DH gave thanks to all the leaders for battling through the pandemic and keeping the group going
Also minuted the sad loss of Frank Walton’s untimely passing and held a minutes silence in his honour.
2. Minutes of Last Annual General Meeting.
The Minutes of the 2021 AGM were approved.

3. Matters Arising.
None.
4. Highlights of the year from all Units
Each unit provided its highlights of the year including reports from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers showing how we’ve managed to adapt during the unprecedented Covid times.
Dawn presented the Beavers report with a fantastic screen presentation, Wendy summarised the Cubs report, Rachel presented the Scouts report in ‘stats style’ and Mike summarised the report for Explorers.
5. Financial Report
In David James’s absence and due to the transition of treasurer, there are no up to date accounts available. These will be made available when they are provided and completed.
6. Subscriptions
CK in the process of handover from RR. Subs requests have gone out for this term so she will get to grips with the systems going forward.
7. General Fundraising
Chris Stevens 10k rep requested support for the 10k committee, as only currently 4 members on the committee
We can’t function without volunteers. The 10k subsidies many aspects of the group, including camps, equipment etc so we do need help.
8. Election of Officers
Current executive committee formally stood down and were unanimously re-elected as follows:

Phil Bungay was elected as Treasurer for 2021-22

Jo Green was re-elected as Secretary for 2021-22

Claire Kerrigan was elected as Subs Secretary for 2021-22

9. Election of Executive Committee
All Section Leaders and GSL were elected onto the Executive Committee, including Mike Bradwell, Will Rose, Rachel Roberts, Wendy Bungay, Kate Brearley and Dawn Chater,
Michael Harrison was re-elected as District Representative and Stewart Windle, Sarah Nolan, Matt Atkinson, Donald King and Chris Stevens were elected as Exec members.

10. Appointment of Independent Examiner of Accounts
Not able to appoint at present due to Phil Bungay’s absence and transition of treasurers. This will be addressed at the next Exec Meeting.
11. The District Commissioner
The Deputy District Commissioner, Simon Temple, gave a brief acknowledgment and thanks to Frank Walton and thanked us for the minute’s silence.
Credited the fantastic leaders, young leaders and the variety of activities and badges taken on as well as the amount we are getting the young people outside. Acknowledged the achievement of silver and gold awards achieved as well as those taking part and progressing through Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. Congratulations to Serenity for securing a place at the international jamboree next year and also congratulations to the 10k Committee for the successful event and the fundraising made.
Congratulated the Exec for getting through the pandemic and growing numbers and keeping the group alive.
