The League of Friends Oasis Tea Barprovides a snack and beverage serviceto patients, relatives, staff andvisitors to the hospital, the profitsfrom which are used to fund equipmentand services solely for use within theChildren’s Hospital departments basedat the Royal Derby Hospital.Since the tea bar re-opened in October2021, after we were obliged to closefor 18 months due to the Covidoutbreak, we have been steadilyincreasing our sales as people realisethat we have opened again plus theintroduction of a card reader hashelped immensely and we managed tofinish the financial year making aprofit of £8392.Donations from external sources haveall but ceased but we hope that thiswill change in due course. |

Note: The restricted fund relates to the CCLA Nelson Salt Account. This was originally known as the Oncology Account and was used purely to benefit oncology and seriously ill patients. As the hospital no longer treats oncology patients it was agreed at the 2019 Annual General Meeting to rename it in honour of the two people responsible for setting it up, Dr Chris Nelson and Jill Salt, and to use it to help seriously ill patients.

members of: Children’s Hospital
On accounts for the year 31 December 2022 Charity no 515465 ended: I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31 December 2022. Responsibilities and basis As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
Independent examiner's I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts on pages 1 to
statement 2. I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or

the accounts do not accord with the accounting records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
