The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting pollcies sel out in note 1 trj the financial statemenls and comply with Ihe charily's governing document, the Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charilies: Slalemenl of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wilh the Financial Reporling Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)" {effeclive 1 January 20191. Objectlves and actlvities To promote, mainlain, improve, and advance educallon by encouraglng and promoling the arts of drama, dance, singing and music. Public benefil The directors have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what aclivities the charty should undertake. Activities Two shows were held this year. Pantomime - Red Rlding Hood Maln show- The Hunchback of Notre Dame Achlevemonts and performance Signlficant actiwties and achievements against objéctives The directors of the company were very happy to have had 2 very successfijl produ¢lions durlng 2024. This year our pantomlme sponsors - Th8 Hudd8rsf181d Giants- decided at the last minute once again lo not perforni with the company, It was therefore decided to go ahead wilh an additional adull performance Instead - which proved to be very popular. raising more revenue than a sponsored performance. The annual main show The Hunchback of Nolre Dam8 was a diffi'cult chall8nge 8rtislically, bul the directors were extremely happy with the productlon, whlch although was not supported as expected. the company worked extremely hard showing its artistic versatilily. Thls year the company has invested in additional secondary double glazlng at its prémlses which in lime will save on energy bills and ensuring a more comfortable envlronment for its actlvitles. The company has onc8 again been successful in claiming Theatre Tax Relief for the past year. Financial review The charily had a net deficit for the year of £5.972 and al the yearend had an accurnulated fund of £84.212 together with the foundation fund of £4.276. In order to secure and oblain substantial di5wunts on the prc4Juctson costs It is necessary to make large deposits and the charity's reserv8s are used for Ihis purpose.
