Objectives and Activities

Summary of the purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document	Para 1.17	Supporting an Industrial museum based on the industrial development of the area in particular the tinplate industry. Aim is to preserve the last remaining hand tin plating facilities in Britain.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	To advance the education of the public in the historical, industrial and technical features and buildings associated with the former Kidwelly Tinplate Works in the county of Dyfed (following local government reorganisation 1 April the three counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire replaced the county of Dyfed) and the surrounding area by promoting their restoration, preservation and maintenance and establishing a Heritage Centre and Museum.
Statement confirming whether the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit	Para 1.18	Some of the recommendations of the Governance and Resilience Review undertaken in the year 2018/19 relate to the guidance on public benefit and the trustees will be considering the guidance on public benefits in assessing those recommendations. It is considered that the charity currently complies with the guidance.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	During the year the Trust received grants from Carmarthenshire County Council for Covid-19 of £25,000.
