Aims of the Club
-
To help people and communities in need of support.
-
To encourage the education and development of young people, including their social, leadership and sporting skills, both locally and internationally.

To help worldwide communities with limited resources or stricken by disease, conflict or natural disasters.
People and Communities
The following support was provided in 2022 -- 23:
-
Continuing leadership of a project to improve the appearance of Burton railway station and surroundings, as well as providing practical assistance with the planting and watering of flowers and greenery.

Befriending phone calls, advice and support to lonely people identified through the Burton Albion Community Trust, including paying for them to attend an Over 50s Christmas lunch at Pirelli Stadium.

Continuing the delivery of hospital packs to the needy when discharged from hospital, providing essential food and other items.

Leadership and participation in the running of a weekly Carers Café for those caring for the disabled, particularly those with dementia, and the people they care for.

Organising and paying for the attendance of 30 elderly people at a pantomime held in the Brewhouse, Burton upon Trent.

Mock interviews of clients about to leave the Burton Addiction Centre.

Donations to: YMCA foodbank; Caudwell children to buy sensory packs; ABF Soldiers’ charity; Derek’s Tree; Age UK lunches; ; Various local schools to help needy families buy clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, etc; Ukraine Conflict Victim Support (Western-on-Trent Centre, Repton Scouts tents, Language modules); Christians Against Poverty; Queen’s Hospital to buy breast cancer Tattoo Machine; Trent and Dove for Jubilee Tree planting
Young People
The following support was provided in 2022 – 23:

Sponsorship of four local school pupils to attend the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards course held in Castleton, Derbyshire

Organisation of Young Chef competition

Assistance with Under-11 and Under-12 football competitions organised by Burton Albion Community Trust

RESPECnVE RESPONSIBILITIESOF TrUSTEES AND EXAMINER The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charilV5 trustees consider that an audit is not required lor thi5 year under sertion 144 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe Charities Act) and that an independent examination Is needed.
