OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Oblectlves and alms The object of the Fund is lo advance the education of the pupils in the school by providing or assisting the provision of educational, recreational and other charitable facilitses in augmentstion of such facilities financed by the Local Authority. The activities of Ripon Grammar School General Fund are carried out forlhe public benefit.

The public benefil requirement was di￿U$Sed by the Tnjstees in relation to Ripon Grammar School General Fund. In Iwking at the overall aim and the objectives of the Charity. the Trustees had regard lo the Charity Commission's public benefit guidance. Review of activities Due lo the ongoing COVID pandemic and sctrK)ol cbsures all ￿hr￿)I trips and fixtures were cancelled. The school received insurance payments for the trips booked LEfore the pandemic, however the Govemors made the decision to cancel the trip to Normandy in July 2021 as a PTe¢aulton, and a ca￿ellatiOn fee of £6,500 was payable to the tourcompany. Similarfy, there have been no drama prod￿tionS or ttincerts, with the exception ofthe virtual carol concert from Cathedral. Al d¢J)alions from the eoncert went to the ¢hosen charity for 2021. The Old Rips kindly made a £2,000 orE off donation to the School Fund. This donat#Jn was pul towards the exFenses of developing a long tem vision of the RGS sile. Contributions to the ActivilEs Fund continue lo decline, and a frKussed campaign lo raise awarenèss wll be develoFed once sGhool life retums lo nomial. The Publicity and Community Liaison IP&CLI govemots committee oversees the promotion of the Fu￿1 and it is hoped that more parents will contribute to IL ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE Contributlons to the Fund Parental contributions to the Activity Fund have exceeded £16,875 in 2020121,. these donations will help lo maintain supp)rt for future school trips and sporting fixtures. The Parents, AssocIat￿n comrnittee St(￿ down in 20121, and is ¢uffenUy domiant. There is approximately £12,000 in their bank account for school projects oneo a new cornmittee has been elected. FINANCIAL REVIEW Reserves pollcy The TeseNes include an Endowment Fund. Due lo low rales, any interest eamed on the ¥xount has not been transferred as a contribution towards prizes for Speech Day or Lower &hool Prizegiving. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES The tfustees are responsible for preparing the Report oftho Trustees and the financial statements in &cordance w￿7 appltable law aThJ United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting PracliGe. The law applicab￿ to charities in England and Wale5, the Charities Acl1993, Charity (Accounts and Reports} Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed requires the Iruslees to prepare ffinancial statements for each financial year which give a tNe and fair view of the slate ol affairs of charity and of the incoming ￿soUrceS and appI￿allOn of resources, Including the income and expendiluTe, of the tharity for that period. In preparing those )Inar￿la1 statements, the trustees are required to select suitable accounting policies and then apply them con&stenlly' obseNe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP; make judgements and estimates that are responsible and PTudent', prepare the financial statements on the going basis unless il is inappropriate to presume Ihatthe charity vill continue in business.
