Activities

To promote charity's status for the benefit of patients, relatives and friends of patients, and employees of the hospital. The Council provides refreshment services for the benefit of such persons.

Objects: (I) To Promote Any Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Patients Resident Or Non-Resident Of The James Cook University Hospital Relatives And Friends Of Such Patients Persons Employed At The Hospital And Persons Concerned In The Care Of The Patients (Whether Resident Or Non-Resident) At The Hospital And In Particular The Advancement Of Education The Preservation Of Health And The Relief Of Poverty, Distress And Sickness. (Ii) To Promote And Organise Co-Operation In The Achievement Of The Above Purposes And To That End To Bring Together In The Council Representatives Of Those Statutory Authorities And Voluntary Organisations And Such Individuals As Are Engaged In The Furtherance Of The Above Purposes At The Hospital And Who Wish To Participate.
