The purpose of the committee is the day-to-day management of the property known as Girlguiding Kilgrimol Centre on behalf of Girlguiding Lytham and Ansdell District and Girlguiding St Annes District.

The main activities carried out by the charity and undertaken for the public benefit are the provision of accommodation and facilities for meetings, events and residential experiences for girls and young women who are members of Girlguiding in Lancashire and beyond. The centre is also used for the training of adult volunteers. When not being used by Girlguiding members, the centre is available for use by other organisations.

ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS THIS YEAR

The Centre was closed in 2020, in accordance with official guidance following declaration of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic and remained closed into 2021. When guidance changed, the building was assessed for covid responsible operation, deep cleaning carried out and was re-opened for restricted use.

Meetings and trainings have taken place, amounting to some 45 sessions in the year.

Our efforts to replace the Centre with a modern, accessible and sustainable building will continue when circumstances permit.

Most fundraising efforts to enable the project have resumed, with a craft fair being held in the autumn.

DECLARATION

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.

Signed on behalf of the trustees
