TRUSTEES REPORT 2021 – 2022

At the Hall we continued to embrace the Covid pandemic opening and closing in step with national Covid guidelines. We eventually reopened fully under restrictions and slowly our users, bar two, returned to use the Hall again.

Apart from general maintenance and administration the list below reflects the main activities of the year:

The local NHS Community Midwives used our Hall throughout Covid until March 2022.
We held an Open Day showing old photographs of the Hall since its first opened in 1950’s. A great day of memories for the elderly members of this community.
A Community Café was opened in March 2022 on Monday mornings from 10am – 2pm. New faces and volunteers within the immediate community emerged.
We were fortunate to receive a large mobile SMART TV as well as 6 Tablets through UNISON to develop digital skills in the community.
We were able to further furbish our new Kitchen from small donations by Holyhead Town Council and A -Team Charity Shop.
A funding application to promote bilingualism (Welsh/English) was successful. It bought us a new Community Notice Board and external/internal bilingual information signs.

During the year we strengthen our links and relationship with relevant staff from Isle of Anglesey County Council, Medrwn Mon (voice of the Voluntary Sector on Anglesey) and Holyhead Town Council.
