The gurdwara provides: • Regular Sunday Service to all members and non-members • Celebrating regular annual events such as Vaisakhi and various (Gurpurab – Event to celebrate the birth of our Gurus) • Events throughout the week, such as educational lessons, social awareness, and safety, Mental well- being, and support • GTBG is also the main location where we prepare and provide a ‘free food service’to hundreds of |

The operating protocol is therefore aimed at the enrichment of this process. • GTBG has invested in programs such as the annual Nottingham Nagar Kirtan, which has been running for the last 40 years, supported by local authorities, such as Nottinghamshire Police and Nottingham City Council, • This event attracts between 5000 / 8000 Sikhs and Non-Sikhs that enjoy this event. • The start of the Nagar Kirtan is at GTBG premises and this has been the case since the early 1980’s. • GTBG also delivers specific educational lessons for young Sikhs, and this is a proactive measure to ensure people who are born into a ‘Sikh household’ have all the necessary enablement, which may have been lacking in previous generations |

Para 1.20 | We have achieved the following during the last period. • Upgraded and decorated the Gurdwara where necessary, to ensure high standards and cleanliness • Upgraded our Kitchen facility including health & safety and maintenance. As a result, the GTBG kitchen provides the facilities for GNM (Guru Nanaks Mission) whereby, the volunteers can prepare over 100 hot meals, 3 times per week for the homeless. • Providing new facilities for families and members to use such as birthdays, weddings, funerals etc. • Increased activity and for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. • Continue to provide the free food kitchen service, which is known as Guru Nanaks Mission –Providing hot and freshly prepared food for those in need and the homeless. |
