Clayton Village Hall provides a truly intergenerational space to benefit all the communty. The variety of the events host are greal. from baby classes, to Horticultural shows, Dance and Theatre schools including Pantomimes, to Slimming Worfd and a Dementia group, Parish Council and many other groups and organisations. We also provide a venue for many parties. ￿lebratiOnS and family events. We have a bar which is used at vanous functions and also provides a source of income. W8 run a coffee shop on 3 momings a week and also a popular cinema showng once a month. The trustees cary out their duties wth regard to thè guidanc& on public benefrt issued by the Charity Commission. Section D Achievements and performance Thanks to our willing volunteers and trustees we have had a good and productive year. We are kept busy repairinglreplacing furnFture elc and re-paints'ng the areas that get signrficant use. This is a mammoth task that also requires funding. Thankfully we had a steady stream of income to make this possible. We have a duty lo the residènls of Clayton and the surrounding area to ensure thg hall is fit for purpose now and in th6 future. We have hosted several events this year including The Late Queens Platinum Jubilee.. the Kings Coronation,. and also Remembrance Day. We also h05ted local community events e.g. school leavers Prom, Christmas Parties. a Pantomime and holiday activities for children to engage in during the school holidays. We have activities going on 7 days a week. We have received grants from Awards for All, Clayton Parish Council, and the Fred T0￿er Trust which enabled us to refurbish the kitchen, install blackout blinds and have some plastering work don8 and replace the coffee lounge table tops We are very grateful to all the orgenisations that provide the grants. Besides the user groups Ihat use the h811 our volunt8ers also run 8 Very successful Community Café, providing food and a placé to have a chal, a Craft Class, Playgroup, Men's Group and Bingo which has réstarted on Wednesdays and is prowng very popular. Thè fsnancial risks are not beiro able to rent out the various rooms and also potenlially expensive repairs to our grade 2 listed building.
