Achievements and performance
Thanks to our willing volunteers and trustees we have had a good and
productive year. We are kept busy repairinglreplacing furnFture elc and
re-paints'ng the areas that get signrficant use. This is a mammoth task that
also requires funding. Thankfully we had a steady stream of income to
make this possible. We have a duty lo the residènls of Clayton and the
surrounding area to ensure thg hall is fit for purpose now and in th6
future. We have hosted several events this year including The Late
Queens Platinum Jubilee.. the Kings Coronation,. and also Remembrance
Day. We also h05ted local community events e.g. school leavers Prom,
Christmas Parties. a Pantomime and holiday activities for children to
engage in during the school holidays. We have activities going on 7 days
a week.
We have received grants from Awards for All, Clayton Parish Council,
and the Fred T0￿er Trust which enabled us to refurbish the kitchen,
install blackout blinds and have some plastering work don8 and replace
the coffee lounge table tops We are very grateful to all the orgenisations
that provide the grants.
Besides the user groups Ihat use the h811 our volunt8ers also run 8 Very
successful Community Café, providing food and a placé to have a chal, a
Craft Class, Playgroup, Men's Group and Bingo which has réstarted on
Wednesdays and is prowng very popular.
