We have facilities whereby women can attend lectures, and obtain guidance from female scholars, as well as educating young children from the community. An important part of our faith is charitable giving, or else known as zakat. In accordance with Islam teaching, annual collections are made by volunteers and then distributed to the poor and needy. A door-to-door licence is obtained from Leister City Council to ensure we are meeting the local authority collection regulations. We provide Islamic education for children from the age of 5 to 15yr old for both boys and girls, who are taught separately as per Islamic teachings. Each year an annual examination takes pla, where we invite independent Imams and Aleema's to take the exams of the children. This is followed by a prize giving award ceremony. Volunteers From within our own community, we have volunteers who give up their time for no financial gain, by assisting with events such as the above, cleaning the premises, and making any door-to-door collections and generally serving the community, especially at social gatherings.
