s￿￿5
We want to be inclusive, and our premises are open and welcoming to all Muslims,
or any member of the public who wish to know about our faith.
We have facilities whereby women can attend lectures, and obtain guidance from
female scholars, as well as educating young children from the community.
An important part of our faith is charitable giving, or else known as zakat. In
accordance with Islam teaching, annual collections are made by volunteers and then
distributed to the poor and needy. A door-to-door licence is obtained from Lei￿ster
City Council to ensure we are meeting the local authority collection regulations.
We provide Islamic education for children from the age of 5 to 15yr old for both boys
and girls, who are taught separately as per Islamic teachings. Each year an annual
examination takes pla￿, where we invite independent Imams and Aleema's to take
the exams of the children. This is followed by a prize giving award ceremony.
Volunteers
From within our own community, we have volunteers who give up their time for no
financial gain, by assisting with events such as the above, cleaning the premises,
and making any door-to-door collections and generally serving the community,
especially at social gatherings. We encourage all our members to participate in what
time they can offer in any of the charity work.
Activities & Achievements for Public Benefit
Religious Activities
The charity carries out a range of activities to meet the aims and objectives of its
charitable aims. The trustees believe that the below activities summarised provide
the benefrt both of those who utilise our premises and the wider community of

families through India. In addition to this any appeals for natural disaster or conflict

Our community hall is small as is it is but provides a valuable resource to our local

football and cricket teams, as well as meeting for local villages from India who want
to officiate their annual general meetings.
We have a range of utensils that are also available to hire for weddings or use by
