The fjnancial statements have been prepared in accordance wlth the accountlng poliaes set out in the notes and comply with the tharity's govemlng document, the Charlties Art 2011 and Reporting by Charities: SLitement of Recommended Practlce Applicable to charities preparlng thelr accounts in accordan￿ wlth the Flnancial Reportlng standards applkable In the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS1021 {as applied to small entities by sectlon IA of the standard) (effective l January 2019). The 8oard of Trustees are satisfied with the performance of the charity durlng the perlod and the position at 31stAugust 2024 and consider that the tharlty Is In a posltlon to contlnue Its activities durin8 the coming year, and that the charlty's assets are adequate to fulfil it's obligations. Roference and Admlnlstratlon Detslls The HeTefoTd and WOr￿ter Dyslexla Assoclatlon (also known as HWDA). 23 Welland cl￿e, Droitwich, Worcestershlre, WR9 8TX, is re8iStered with the Charity Commission (number 5048561 The trustees of the Association are as follows: Mrs K Kear-wood Mrs Nlcola Nash SRUCTURI GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT The Hereford and Worcester Dyslexla Association Is constituted as an Associatlon, and Is governed by a constitution dated 24 May 2022. The Trustees are selerted from membership at the Annual General Meeting of the Association. The day to day running otthe Association is overseen by a management Committee that indudes the trustees listed above and the membership and financial secretsry. The membership and financlal secretsry administers the members of the Assodatlon as well as asslstlng the Treasurer and the accountlng functlon. Objectlves and A¢llvlties of the Charfty The object of the Association is to advan￿ the eductalon of persons In the Hereford and WOr￿ter area wlth Dyslexla. The trustees confirm that in planning the activities for the year, they kept in mind the Charity Commlsslon's guldance on public beneflt at their trustse meetlngs. The Association runs speciallst teachlng sesslons ("workshops") in Worcester, Hereford and Brom$8rove for ¢hildren viith Dyslexla. Each of these workshops is overseen by a workshop SeniorTutor. In addition. it offers its members Informatlon on all aspects of Dyslexia and advice on assessment and teachin& The HWDA also runs two Parents Support Groups which offer drop4n sessions to offer support to parents and deliver presentstions on relewdnt toplcs. The HWDA Is afflllated to the British Dyslexia Association.
