The Friends of Knaptoft began as a group in 1939. It has two main areas of influence. It is first and foremost an Ecumenical Christian Group servicing four open-air services annually in the ruins of an english heritage church site, during which collections are taken up on behalf of a range of registered charities and shared with the friends towards the cost of upkeep of the site and to cover admin
Objects: (A) To Preserve And Maintain For The Public Benefit The Ruins Of Knaptoft Church And The Surrounding Grounds. (B) To Continue During The Summer Months The Religious Services Inauurated By The Late Mr A M Sharman. (C) To Administer The Use Of The Ground As A Place Of Burial And For The Depositing Of Cremated Remains.
