Local Civic Society for Oulton in Leeds formed in 1971, playing a significant role in making Oulton and surrounding areas a more attractive place to live. Achieved by regularly monitoring planning applications, raising awareness of issues possibly affecting the locality,organising village improvements, supporting Oulton in Bloom and arranging social and fundraising events.
Objects: (A) To Stimulate Public Interest In And Respect For The Area. (B) To Promote A High Standard Of Planning And Architecture Within The Area. (C) To Encourage The Development And Improvement Of Features Of General Public Amenity Within The Area And The Preservation Of Areas Of Particular Interest Or Individuality.
