Res onsibilities and basis of re ort As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Act.). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination. The Society's objects (set out in section 4 of the RSPCA Act 1932) are to promote kindness and to prevent or suppress cruelty to animals. Financial Review Review of the charity's financial position at the end of the period Para 1.21 The branch reported a deficit for the period of £14,191. The branch held reserves of £200,160 at the end of the eriod. The branch committee has agreed previously that the reserves should be at least twice the average expenditure of the previous three years which equates to £91 ,988. Structure, Governance and Management Description of charity's trusts: Type of governing document (trust deed, royal charter) Para 1.25 The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty is governed by the Animals Act 1932 and by the rules of the Society. The relationship between the Society and its network of branches is regulated by the Branch rules, the Society's rules and the RSPCA Acts.
