Achievements and performance Review of activities Previously the Charity operated Saint Felix School. On 4 May 2021, in order lo safeguard the future of Saint Felix School and to enable the SchcK)I lo continue with its development plans lo enhance the education provision and facilities at Saint Felix, the SchcK)I was transferred lo Inspired Learning Group IILGI. This enabled the School to continue lo provide the best possible education and opportunities for students and staff. Following the resolution of some mallers arising from the transfer of the School, it is the intention of the Iruslees to dissolve the charity and lo pass the remaining funds to another charity wth compatible purposes. As a result the financial statements are prepared on a basis other than going con￿rn. Contingent liability: as disclosed in note 11, in De￿mber 2025, the charity received a contractual claim tolalling approximately £32,500. The trustees have carefully reviewed the basis of the claim and do not consider that any liability arises. The daim has been formally disputed and, as at the date of approval of these financial statements, no further communication has been received. The members of the Charity are the Trustees named on page 1. In the event of the Charity being wound up, the liability in respect of the guarantee is limited to £1 per member of the company. Accounting policios 2.1 Basis of preparation of financial statements The financial statements have been prepared in accordance wlh the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wth the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 leffective 1 January 20191, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102} and the Companies Act 2006. The Southwold and Reydon Educational Trust Limited meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise staled in the relevant accounting policy. 2.2 Golng concern As described in the Trustees, Report, the trustees have decided to wnd up the charity and transfer the remaining funds lo another charity wlh compatible purposes. As a result the financial statements are prepared on a ba51S Other than going concern. which includes, where appropriate writing down the assets lo the net realisable value, and recognising any conlraetual commitments that have become onerous at the balance sheet date. Expenditure is classified by aclivily. The costs of each activity are made up of the lolal of direct costs and shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs attributable to a single activity are allocated directly to that activity- Shared costs which contribute lo more than one activity and support costs which are not attributable to a single activity are apportioned between those activities on a basis consistent with the use of resOUr￿s. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of lime spent, and depreciation charges allocated on the portion of the asset's use. Expenditure on charitable aclivilies is incurred on directly undertaking the activilies which further the Company's objectives, as well as any associaled support costs. All expenditure is inclusive of irrecoverable VAT. 2.5 Intgrest recoivable Interest on funds held on deposit is included Mthen receivable and the amount can be measured reliably by the Company., this is normally upon notification of the interest paid or payable by the institution with whom the funds are deposited. 2.6 Cash at bank and in hand Cash at bank and in hand includes cash and short-temi highly liquid investments with a short maturity of three months or less from the date of acquisition or opening of the deposit or similar auount. 2.7 Liabilities and provisions Liabilities are reCogni￿d when there is an obligation at the Balan￿ sheet dale as a result of a past event, it is probable that a transfer of ewnomic benefit will be required in settlement, and the amount of the settlement can be estimated reliably. Liabilities are recognised at the amount that the Company anticipates it wll pay to settle the debt or the amount it has received as advanced payments for the goods or ServI￿S it must provide. 2.8 Financial instrumgnts The Company only has financial assets and financial liabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequenlly measured al their settlement value with the exception of bank loans which are subsequenlly measured at amortised cost using the effective interest meth(￿.
