The Management Commrttee aims to provide fitsi-ciass hall facilitS at an affordable cost for voluntsry organisations servFng the communty, private fundions and commerual businesses As can be seen on the distributed Statement of Finanaal Acb"vrties. the resources from private partEs are down approximately 11 0 compared lo last year. This could be due to a number of reasons. suth as the current general cost of INing. rising party entertainnt costs and the total ban on the use of inflatabks at the village hall. There was a very heatthy 20°h increase financ¢ally th our regtjlar organisations dubs in 2024. Soffle ot them booked extra hours this year which contributed to the extra ven. Although we lost three regular hirers we did gain three new organisations. giving us a total of 16 regular and 4 DS1on31 hirers using the village hall. most of whom are long-lerm. A Mayford Village Trust was set vp with 3 new Trustees wtho will be responsib for the di$tn"bution of trust fvnds lo the Mayford Village Hall Fund and Emmanuel Church. We were awarded a £5.174 grant from Surrey County Council Communrty which paK1 for the installation of the emergency exil doors in the main hall. If other grants become available. applicatn$ will be made lo inprove the facilities al the village hall. Improvements al Additions: Main Hall redecorated. Emergency exrt doors In main hall replaced. Main hall stsge stained Large oak tree overhanging lear garden trimmed back. Two broken tables replaced Four dozen wine glasses purchased lo be used on speoal occasions. Seven fire extinguishers and one fire blanket replaced Ih05e of date. All upholstered chairs cleaned. 5 yeaf premises electrical inspection carried out in June. Planned improvements and events for next year: Summer party lo be arranged. Christmas party in November or Dernbel planned. Redecoration of the ladies. gents and disabled toilets. Two addttional radiators in the main h811. New pathway from main hall rear asS to PreschLX)l shed. rf Communty Projects Fund grant obtained. Village hall events during the last year: A successful summer party was hehj in August. Combined MVHNW Christrn8s party in November.
