3RD cHIscK SCOUT GROUP TREASURER'S REPORT 1ST APRIL 2023 TO 31ST MARCH 2024 During the period, the group maintained active Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts secttons. Explorers remained temporarily suspended. INCOME Income for the period was £35,532 which is on the face of it 32% higher than the previous year. The differenc8 is mainly caused by an increase to rantsl income. mainly du6 to Hall bookings, and by an increase in membership subscriptions. EXPENDITURE Totsl expenditure incurred in 2023124 was £50,416 which is on the face of it 156% higher than the previous year. The difference Is mainly caused by an increase in Repairs & Renewals, primarily due to an investrnent to fully r8furbish the kitchen at the Scout HUL In 2021122 the group invested £8,000 in the development of Ihe site by starting work on an air rifle range. The buldllng works Vre halted due to planning issues. These Issues are in the process of belng resolved. FINALLY As ever, we are profoundly grateful to thosè volunteers without whom the group would not 8XiSt. The recelpts and payTnents summary is attached to this report, along notes. 3RD CHISWICK SCOUT GROUP NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS- 31ST MARCH 2024 ACCOUNTING POUCIES Basls of accounting These accounts are prepared on a Receipts and Payments basis, in accordance th the Scout Association information sheet: LT115001 & LT115004 b) Stocks of badges and consumable items The costs of these are charged in the peTiod in which the payment was made. NON-MONETARY ASSETS The premises are owned by the group. and the deeds are held in trust by the Scout Association Trust Corporation. who have confirmed that they hold the freehold title deeds to the premises. The premises (buildings I contents l equipment) are insured by Unity Insurance Services). RISKS The financial risks of the group are that the income from renting the propety drops, for whatever reason. However we have a long standing arrangement wlth the Montessorl school which we are confident will continue. Physical risks would be loss of premises through fire. The property is appropriately insured. The local District would under such circumstances be able to provide altematsve accomodation during rebuild.

They consider that an audit is not required for this year {under Section 43 (2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It Is my rasponslblllty to: Examine the accounts (under Section 43 (3) (a) of the 1993 Act): To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under Section 43 (71 (b) of the 1993 Act). and .
