Girlguiding Fairfield Division andTheRadclrffeCentre Trustees Annual Report for the yaor $nded 31 Mor¢h 2024 In the Division two guiding units had to be closed during this financial year and their monies were transferred to the Division bank occount. A loan to another unlt was repald into the Division. The maln expenditure for the year was to fund a silent disco for the girls in the Division and subsidies to each unit in the Division to help poy the annual subscriptlon to Girlguldlng for the adults and young leaders. This resulted in a deficit for the year but there is a healthy bank balanc8 at the year end of £8393. The Radcliffe Centre enjoyed another year of good occupancy although the total lettings were £IOOO down on the previous year. There was a substantlal donatlon In memory of a unlt helper whlch will be used to fund resources for th6 use of girls at Radcliffe. Electricity costs were double the previous year. There was on issue during the year with the meters that took several months to sort out with EDF. £1900 was spent on disabled entrancg to the buildlng and new fencing. The Mojor Works carried out during the year comprised replacing three doors. New equipment bought during the year comprised two cookers, 59 stackable outside chairs, a leaf blower and two beds for leaders. The bank balance for the Radcliffe Centre is £58319 howev8r there are plans to refurbish the bothrooms and make one of them suitable for disabled people in the next year. Unfortunately, one of our Trustees, Bert Smith, passed away In March 2024. We really appreciate all the love ond attention he gave to Radcliffe. He wos dedicated to keeping Radcliffe in a beautiful condition for 28 yeors.
