Many restrictions were eased Mid 2021 The Annual Census at the start of year showed a slight in¢r¢as¢ in overall numbers. I musl Ihank the great team ot leaders and assistant leaders that give up so mu¢h lime lo run Iheir section. Time spent behind the ￿ene$ in planning Ihe meeting programme. However, we really need additional adult Support to enable u8 to increase our number8 to meel the demand of younLFsiers wanting lo join us. The S¢out section is rnn in the main by leaders with another rolc within S¢ouling Also, many Ilianks lo the Group Exec for th¢ir valuable support lo the Group lo ensure we are able lo continue to provide Scouting to the young people. All sections have been acliie throughout the year noi only al their weekly meetings bul oih¢r a¢livities al80. Some 8u¢ce48ful m¢¢ling8 wer¢ h¢ld"virtual" online. A big thank you 10 the leaders ihal facilitated this as it is noi easy to change meetings from face to facc to online. Thc standard of badgcwork is continued to bc high with evcry opportunity to continue with this throughout thc difficult ycar. Somc badgcwork was carrlrd out undcr Parrnts 3upcfvLSion while at home. The maintenance of the HQ has continued to be a focus, with many improvcmcnls and repairs carried out while the HQ was not in use. All routine tests and inspections were completed in readiness for sections being back with face-to-face meetings. The Band has ¢ontinued meeting when guidanc¢ allowed with restrictions eased mid 2021. Although very much reduced public performances most of the year the band mel in the HQ, with all doors and windows open. We look forward lo be back perfomiing in public in 2022 lan Cole Group Scout Leader Pag¢ 3 of8
