Thls year was marked by steady income Streams and the continued strength of our scouting activities. Our total income reached £35.111. reflerting robust membership subscriptlon5 across Beavers, Cubs. and Scouts, which together contributed £11,196. Camps and attivities generated a further £3.974, and hut renLIls to groups such as the Explorers, Guides, Woodcraft Folk. and others contributed a healthy £4.415. A particular highlight was our Bonfire Night fundraising event. which raised £5,479. demonstrating the communiws continued support for our group's efforts. The Hut Rebuild Fund also received a boost. with £9.118 raised during the year.
Totsl direct expenses amounted to £12.292. covering capitation. materials. and costs related to scouting activities and camps. Our overheads for the year, including water. elertricity. waste disposal, insurance, and repairs, were carefully managed at £12,229. These also included £2,850 spent on the Hut Rebuild project. As of 31 March 2025. the Eroup's net assets total £166,269.69. Of this. £32.855.31 is held in the Hut Rebuild Fund. ready to support our ambition to rebuild the scout hut as a modern community facility for Leckhampton. With no current or future liabilitie5 reported, the group's finances remain stron8. The scout hut has been a hub of activtiy throughout the year. with our own sertions- Beavers. Cubs, and Scouts-operating at full capacity and other community groups making regular use of the facilities. Membership remains oversubscribed. demonstrating continued demand for scouting in Leckhampton and supporting the lon8-term sustainability of the group. The initiative launched in 2022 to completely rebuild the scout hut and create a community resource for Leckhampton continued this year. We raised £5,050 specifically for this project, and part of a Ic1 authority 8fant was used to fund architectural drawings. Planning permission is expected later this year. marking a key milestone in realising our vision. In summary, the group's healthy financial performance, strong cash position. and ongoing fundraising efforts provide a solid foundation for future activities and the long-awaited hut rebuild project. We remain committed to delivering engaging scouting experiences for the young people of Leckhampton and to serving ourcommunity. Basis of preparation The accounts have been prepared under the receipts and payments accounting ba515. 2. Fixed A55ets The scout group own land and bulldlngs on their site and the net book value shown in the account is an approximation of the land value only as the bulldlng is fully depreciated. The group owns scouting equipment, which 15 fully depreciated in the balance sheet, with an insured value of £46,545 as at 31st March 2025. 3. Contingent Liabilities The group has no tontingent liabilities nor future obligations. 4. Restrlcted Funds None of the income received historically has been restricted in nature.
