Colbury merrrial Hall is situated within the Parish of Ashurst & Colbury. The Hall was widety used throhOUt the year by the local community, induding the Parish Council Fete and the Trustees. Christmas Grfi & Craft Fair. These will hopefully be annual events and are useful for rain9 visibilty for the hall arKI for fUrKlratng. Financial Review The annual income again sh(Ms a deficit, with wr cKrtgoings eX(dIr¥j our in¢J)me by almost £8,IXiO. This was dwite rlYing a grant of £8,51XI. This defiat is primarily due to the onwing programme of repair5 and maintenarTr whith are unavoidable in an dder building, but are also due to rising energy costs, fire and secxjrity costs, and general runnirvJ costs. These costs are revie%Ed regularly to see rf savings can be made. The 2025 hire Charges were not increased in order to slay c(x)wetitrvely ed. in retrSpeCt this may not have teen the wsest ¢1. OpportunTrties to increase revenue are being Ichjked into, arKI the Halt is now available to hire on Sundays. Over the last three years our resew have decreased from approx. £46.(MXI in DmEr 2022 to approx. £27,(XK) in Dmber 2025. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF COLBURY MEMORIAL HALL
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Colbury Memorial Hall (the Charity) for the year ended 31 December 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the Charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or

the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
