MURSLEY VILLAGE HALL TRUSTEE'S ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31ST MARCH 2022 Mursley Village H&lL Main Street, Mursley, Bucks is re8iStered with the Charity Comrnissioners (No. 300308) and operntes under a Trust Dated dated 261h June 1961. In accordance with the Trust Deed the Charitys principal purpose is to maint&in and operate a village hall in Mursjey which is available for hire by &ll members of the community. Certain village voluntary organisations are entitled to nomlnate and appoint a trustee to represent them. The custodlan trustee for the property is Mursley Pari8h Council. They do not have any manA8ement responslbilities foz the charity. The Trustee$ are responsible for preparlng the annual accounts In compliance with current $t&tutory TequlremeDts 84S far as they are applicable to the charity. They Are also responsible foT maintainins proper occounting record5 which disclose with Teasonable accuracy the financial posKtlon of the charity and safe8uArding OE the chariW$ assets. The Hall started to re-open again in May 2021 and with pent up demand gaw record levels of bookinss behyeen August and November. Hall bookings then fell back to more normal leveb for the rest OE the year. As A resul¢ lettings income was £12,110 compared to £2,574 for 2020/218nd £11,582 foT 2019120. There were also a number 0£ fundraising events heRd during the year details of whith are shown in note 2 of the accounts and TAised a total of £2,054. Th&nks to the availability of Covid-19 support grf4nts totalllng £10,067 (2021.. £21,666), we were able to bolster cash reserves. These cash Te8erve$ have been wed to finAnce much needed repairs to the Toof. Whilst we were successful in obtaining a grant from FCC Recycling, a significant increase in costs for the repair of the roof has resulted in us only being able to complete the repairs to the flat area of the roof where these Tepair5 were most urgent. This work was completed in April 2022 at a net eost to the Hall after the grant of £18,315. We are actively Eundraisins and seeking further grants to repair the remaining part of the roof which is cuttentiy expected to cost between £40,000 and £50,000. At 31¥t March 2022 we had cash at bank of £16,534 compared to our minimum level of reserves set by the Trustees of £10,000 and £28296 at 318t Marth 2021.
