The 87-year-old organ was unable to adherè to modern day elethrical certification vequifemeTht5 $0 had to be dlsconnerted frorn the Halls mains, It was dlsmantled by the Cinema Organ Trust. lo whom it had been formal￿dOnated, and was rernoved from 511e. The Roy81 Borough ol Wlndsor & Maidenhead announced a plan to close Trocal libraries whlch included the Ilbrary In Old Windsor. The bullding is owned by the Memorlal Hall and is rented to the eorots8h lor the y5e a5 a Ilbrary. The Hall Commlttee In collaboratlon wrth the Old Wln(IsoT Par15h Council put a proposal to the Borou8h to keep ihe Ilbrary open. The committee ag￿ed to reduce the rent of the Ilbraryfor a three-yeaf perlod to support th15 alm.
