Governance and MaDagement: The Charity is an unincorFrf)rated &ssociaiion governed by a registered Charity Commission Scheme dated 12 February l 988 amended on 23 November 21MJ9. 31 March 2017 and 20 September 2019 and 12 March 2024. Governance is the resrM)nsibility of a Trustee Board. The daY-tdaY management of the Charity is carried out by an Operations Team apw)inted by the TTUSlees. Fina¢1] review: The Trustees report that in 2024. the year covered by this rel. the charity made a surplus of £2.343 (2023: £2,906). Income lev¢ls have increased to £58,032 (2023: £53,778). F.xpenditure is at £55,689 (2023: £50.872) and has incr¢asoJ duc to many suppliers increasing their prices and the amount of maintenance work being undertaken. At 31 December 2024 reserves all of which were unrestricted, were £47,920 (2023: £45,577). The Charity's reservvi policy is to mainlain reserve5 al a minimum of six months runnin8 cxpcnditure. currently equating to approximately £27,500, in addition lo thosc dcsignated for specific purposes. As the general reserve baliince of £21.646 was below the rer¥¢ trf)li¢y, the Trustees inlcnd to rebuild this fund in the coming year. The designalcd reserve stands at £26.274. there has been no movcmcnt during this y¢ar and the balance r¢mains the same as the brought forward balance at 1st January 2024 of £26,274. Any oiher re8erves are available for investment in the further development of the facilities and activities of the charity, as and when de¢m¢d appropriate by the Trustees, Objectives and Aclivilles: The object of the Charity is the provision and maintenance ofa village hall forthe use ofthe inhabitants of the Parish of Sunningdale and the neighbourhwd thereof (the'area ofbenefil") without dislinction of politi¢al. religious or other opinion.% for meetings, TtureS and classes, and other fornis of recreation and Icisure-lime Occupatio with thc object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. Sunningdale Villagc Hall sits & the heart of Sunningdalc 5 wmmunily life and is the home of a wide range of social. leisure and recreational activitles throughout th¢ day and evening. The main hall has a rnised woc¥Jen stage area ideal for theatrical perfomiances or musical events. A serving hatch direct from the kitchen makes it an ideal venue for many functions where eating and dartcing can be combin¢d. A small¢r hall at the tear of the buÉlding is the home (other than during Summer holidays)
of Sunningdale Pre-school. It t¢)0 has its own kitchen and can be hired when not let out to the pre- school. There are also gard¢ns to the rear of the building. Th¢ Trnstees manage hire rate5 to ensur¢ that th¢ facilities ar¢ affordable to a wide cross section of the community, whilst remaining competffttive with alternative v¢nues and sufficient to ensure the Hall's ongoing viability. Concessionary rates are offerol to registered charities. Achievements: In 2024. income in 2024 ros¢ for a third year in a row. to £58.032 from £53.778. Also in 2024. the new board of Trustees maintained the hiring raies for ihe ihird year running, in¢reased occupancy levels recruited a new Operations Team. moved into shared office space at Holy Trinity Church in Sunningdalc. introduccd an online tthking system. and launched a new website. During the course of the year essential remedial works were undertaken including the re-inststement of French Drnins to the exterior to irnprove drainage, and works to the floor in the Large Hall. Public bellefit: The Charity Trustees telieve that they have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard io the public b¢n¢fit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
